Specialist skills workshops are task-based lessons that take place in the afternoons. They allow students to practise the English they’ve learned in the mornings in a different, interactive environment, but within a specialised area of interest, These areas can include:

  • FUTURE SCIENTISTS – Students participate in practical science lessons with fun (but safe!) experiments.
  • CREATIVE WORKSHOPS – Whether it’s painting & sketching, photography, or drama, these workshops will help enhance students’ creative skills and give them a chance to shine!
  • CRITICAL THINKING – Gain valuable life skills & further selfdevelopment with sessions on problem solving and decision making language combined with listening, writing & speaking techniques. For higher-level English speaking and ambitious students!
  • HISTORY & NATURE WORKSHOPS – Explore the school’s magnificent setting that includes a 1000 year history in the ancient abbey set in 76 acres of rolling countryside in the wooded Dorset valley. The abbey even has its own farm (with pigs, sheep, goats, turkeys and chickens), makes its own honey, and grows flowers, fruit and vegetables.
