Dance equips people with a powerful method of physical self-expression.

This 2-week programme helps students develop their dance technique and repertoire, as well as gives them invaluable experience of performing to a live audience.

 

Dance Instructor

Paul Liburd (MBE) is a former member
of London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Rambert Dance Company and Scottish Ballet as a soloist and he has danced works by some of the world’s most prominent contemporary-modern choreographers.
He has numerous awards and was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2009 for services to Dance. After retiring from performing, Paul now teaches at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and London Studio Centre.

 

Who is this course suitable for:

It is open to students who are trained in classical ballet / contemporary dance from intermediate to advanced levels.

PROGRAMME:

  • 12 hours of dance training per week in the afternoons.
  • Training is delivered for a maximum of up to 20 dancers per week
  • 14 hours of English language learning in the mornings
  • Maximum class size: 14 in English classes
  • An exclusive and unique dance training and English language learning sessions. The core programme includes classical ballet, contemporary and choreography, students also receive Pilates, conditioning, fitness sessions and improvisation sessions.
  • Evening activity programme
  • Full-day excursions on weekend to destinations and attractions around London and the South of England, and half-day excursions on Wednesdays.
  • Final Performance: On the last Friday, students will perform a demonstration and sharing of the work covered in both Classical Ballet and Contemporary training sessions in front of an audience. The Performance will include new choreography, created in participation with the students during the course.

BEDE’S SCHOOL,

It is located in a small village inthe middle of the rolling hills of the South Downs between the seaside town of Eastbourne and the historic town of Lewes.

 

Accommodation 

Accommodation on-site is among 5 boarding houses that inspire a sense of community and belonging, all of them well equipped with communal áreas, games room, café and kitchen.

Bedrooms are a combination of twins, triples and larger rooms and all bathrooms are shared between 4-6 students.

Separate male and female accommodation.
LAUNDRY is available on-site. Bed linen is provided and changed weekly ( towels are not provided )
